Prices

Lesson Frequency: Weekly lessons are most effective frequency for most student and the default frequency unless noted in communications. Fortnightly and Casual options are available based on mutual convenience.

Private Lessons

These lessons are one-on-one and focus on the individual development.

  • $40 per 30 min solo lesson

  • $55 per 45 min solo

  • $75 per 60 min solo lesson

Duo Lessons

These lessons focus on combining two peoples skills as a duet and how to develop individual abilities with another person.

  • $25 per student for 30 min for duo lessons

  • $35 per student for 45 min for duo lessons

  • $45 per student for 60 min for duo lessons

Group Lessons
These lessons focus on a group learning and performing music together. Group lesson options are dependent on the minimum number of students available to attend lessons at a time and location.

  • Prima Ukulele/Guitar $10 per student (4 - 6 years old) — no experience needed (minimum 4 students).

  • Beginner Guitar/Ukulele $15 per student (7+ years old) — no experience needed (minimum 3 students).

  • Intermediate Guitar $15 per student — 1-2 years experience (minimum 3 students).

  • ‘Jam Squad’ (Intermediate/Advanced) for ukulele, guitar and bass, $15 per student — capable tablature reader and chord strummer.

Concession Cards

A concession card contains five purchased lesson of your chosen lesson type and location of mutual convenience (usually from St Anne’s Anglican Church in Northaland).

The card expires 150 days from the commissioned date. All details must being discussed with Kākā Guitār before the concession card is approved. Only available to adult students (18+).

Venues

Kākā Guitār tutors from three different venues as listed below. Below are the further details of lesson types available.

  • Schools: all lesson types available, but only at weekly frequency — there is no option for fortnightly or concession card/vouchers lessons.

  • St Anne’s Anglican Church in Northland: all lesson types are available at any frequency.

  • Zoom: all lesson types are available at any frequency.
